Last night on my way home from work, I encountered a protest march of a few hundred Home Heathcare Attendants, protesting low wages and lack of benefits. They were peacefully (but loudly) marching down 7th Avenue. In true NYC style, no one paid them too much attention.

WOW. Just WOW.
How did I miss this? I am vehemently supportive of home health care. Those folks go beyond the call of duty and were my rock during my mother's illness and subsequent passing. I have home health nurses checking on my dad three times a week who have become family friends.
If you can help a home health organization, DO SO. Their work rivals that of the angels. Really.
