when i think about matthew shepard i think about the countless other people in AMERICA who are denied the right to be who they are, some even paying with their own lives.

we the people MUST mean all the people, not just a SELECT FEW.

it perplexes me that taxation seems to be the only form of government that applies to everyone in this country. how much longer can we pretend we are a democracy if all of our citizens do not have the same rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

Thanks for the link DD.
This is one of those days that was, and is, a turning point for the LGBT community.
And I am so with Miss A on her point. We all must pay the same taxes yet we are all not treated equally.
The march goes on.....

XOXOXOXOXO

Well said, Miss Alaineus!!

Many of us are remembering Matthew Shepard today, as well as others who are less known but still held dear, whose lives were cut short because part of this culture see us as less than them, dispensable, less worthy.

NEVER INDEED...I CAN'T WATCH HIS STORY WITHOUT CRYING...

In Georgia, we don't even have a law for hate crimes. And his rememberance brings that thought to light.
